Pain and Jokes
Thursday 31st January 2007
Team 1: Anamul, Orun, Adam, Ashley, Craig
Team 2: Mike, Lewis, Kevin, Teague
Final score: 5-4 to Team 2
This was a pretty hectic and dangerous match which also provided moments of comic entertainment by Craig and Orun. Teague had a massive injury as Mike smacked into him with the power of an atomic bomb. Poor Teague was withering about on the ground in pain while Team 1 proceeded to take advantage of Team 2 having one man down and sprinted down the other end of the pitch for Lowe to score. No sportsmanship here! But there was a slight break in play after the goal for Teague to recover, which he did very heroically. He went on to fire a brilliant shot at Orun which the goalkeeper saved between her legs but released, allowing Teague to tuck it in behind her for his much deserved goal. Teague was then hit in the face by Dan.
Anamul was teasing and tantalising Anton with some fancy footwork and ball tricks.
The moment of comedy was provided when Kevin tried to score but it was saved by Orun who then kicked the ball out, whacking it straight into an unsuspecting Craig. As she was laughing evilly at his misfortune, the ball rolled away to the feet of Kevin who then gently passed it into the net while Orun was looking the other way and still laughing…until she realised she had just let a goal. However, Orun as in the previous match played with courage; “It hurts, it hurts, I have bruises” she cried but continued to play on.
Speaking to the defeated captain after the match Anamul said he was “Gutted, absolutely gutted. We tried so hard, could have been worse if it wasn’t for our goalkeeper.” Adam said he was “frustrated”
Spectators Pat and Emma remarked:
“Superfabulous match today, some excellent players, fouls, fancy footwork, Kev Bev does it for me!”-Patricia
“Fast paced, very impressive, top quality players, professional, go whoever!”-Emma

What can i say! it was a good game and i guess there were no losers! except me...oh well!!!the moments of hilarity were most hilaritous! but the bruise still is sore and the memories still give me nightmares!
As a casual spectator I felt this game wasn't half as exciting as it sounds. Though it was a jolly good game played with the greatest of spirits it was the type of game that would be enjoyed by the dumbest of mutts. Only one player stood out with his dashing footwork and youthful looks.
Yours Truly, Watson
